Welcome to ECO Film Festival
A weekend of Education and Entertainment for the Environment
The ECO film festival represents
a new kind of film festival that is dedicated to increasing awareness
about environmental issues and how our daily choices can have a profound
affect on the quality of our air, water and land.
The mission of the ECO film
festival is to present thought-provoking
films that educate and motivate each one of us to reduce pollution
and waste and to protect our environment.
The weekend will feature nine films shown in various locations throughout
Beverly along with special festival events. On Saturday the day and
evening events take place at the Wylie Conference Center located
on Endicott College campus. A Green Lounge will feature companies
and grass roots organizations supporting the preservation of our
environment.
Saturday night is the Gala Party to benefit Solar Now, the oldest
solar site in the U.S., located next to Beverly High School. On Sunday
you can enjoy a guided tour of Solar Now, followed by a movie, and
then a nice lunch at one of the local restaurants and cafes featuring
organic and locally produced menus. Children's activities with educational
films and games will be offered throughout the weekend. Sunday night
the festival wraps up with an Art and Wine Reception at Montserrat
College of Art entitled: "It's Getting Hot in Here".
We welcome the participation of individuals, organizations, and
businesses who would like to become involved in the ECO film
festival . To join our committee or to support this initiative
